Kololo Independence Grounds will on Tuesday, 23rd September 2025, transform into a carnival of music, dance, and comedy as President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni officially launches his 2026 election campaign under the slogan “Protecting the Gains.”
The celebrations will follow his nomination by the Electoral Commission at its new premises in Lweza–Lubowa, setting the stage for the ruling NRM party’s nationwide campaign trail.
To crown the day, an all-star lineup has been assembled, featuring Uganda’s biggest entertainers alongside cultural groups from every region—making the event both star-studded and inclusive.
Headliners include music powerhouses Bebe Cool, Jose Chameleone, Eddy Kenzo, Ronald Mayinja, Catherine Kusasira, Full Figure, Phina Mugerwa, Lil Pazo Lunabe, Stecia Mayanja, Alien Skin, Gravity Omutujju, Daddy Andre, Weasel, Ykee Benda, Coco Finger, and Fred Sebbale. The energy will be kept high by MCs such as Vex, Kalera, Cash Owakabi, Zig Zag, and Man Pato.
Regional flavor will dominate the evening. From the north: Bosmic Otim, Odongo Romeo, Prisca Janet, Mc Rock, Okenge Born Town, Deno Traditional Group, Blood Moon, and JM Kennedy. From the west: Ray G, Truth 256, T Paul, Sister Charity, MC Kacheche, and Baingana. From the east: Davido Spider, Rexy, Temperature Tach, Evy Treys, Victor Ruz, MC Rogers, and Idi Amasaba Cultural Group.
Comedy will also spice up the celebrations, with rib-cracking performances from Madrat and Chiko, Dr. Hilary, Teacher Mpamire, Salvado, and Pastor Twine Herbert.
With such a broad spectrum of stars and cultural acts, Kololo is set to become the heartbeat of Uganda’s political and entertainment calendar on Tuesday. Supporters will be treated to a national celebration blending music, laughter, and culture as President Museveni formally kicks off his 2026 bid.
