RnB superstar Craig David set for Historic Kampala debut at World of Sounds

Craig David will be in Kampala

British RnB icon Craig David is set to grace the Ugandan stage for the very first time as the headline act for World of Sounds Season 2, scheduled for August 29, 2025, at the Sheraton Hotel Gardens in Kampala.

Billed as the R&B Edition, the second installment of the celebrated concert series promises a night of soulful rhythms, immersive artistry, and cross-cultural fusion. Known globally for chart-toppers such as “7 Days”, “Fill Me In”, and “Walking Away”, Craig David’s performance marks a significant moment in Uganda’s live music calendar.

With a career spanning over two decades, the British singer, songwriter, and producer has sold more than 15 million records worldwide and garnered numerous accolades, including BRIT and Grammy Award nominations. His signature blend of smooth vocals and infectious UK garage beats has earned him an enduring international fanbase.

“World of Sounds Season 2: R&B Edition is not just a concert—it’s a celebration of rhythm, soul, and artistic fusion,” said Producer Bushington, the show’s organiser. “With Craig David leading the lineup, we’re expecting fans from across East Africa to join us for a magical night under the stars.”

Launched in October 2023 with a star-studded debut at the Kampala Serena Hotel, World of Sounds made its mark with standout performances from Myko Ouma, Jose Sax, Sewa Sewa, Kenneth Mugabi, Joel Sebunjo, A Pass, Maurice Kirya, and a surprise duet with Juliana Kanyomozi.

This year, the concert ups the ante with an international headliner and a curated blend of Uganda’s finest live acts and instrumentalists, continuing its mission to spotlight alternative music genres and foster artistic excellence in Uganda’s creative industry.

Tickets and full artist lineup details will be announced soon. Music lovers are encouraged to follow official World of Sounds platforms for updates.
