Don Nasser committed to High Court, charged with Drugging and Sexually abusing 16-year-old girl

Don Nasser has been sent to High Court for trial

Jailed Kampala socialite and businessman Nasser Nduhukire, commonly known as Don Nasser, has been accused of introducing a minor to cocaine and sexually abusing her multiple times.

The allegations were brought to light during a court hearing at Buganda Road Magistrate’s Court, where the State presented evidence against him and his co-accused, Promise Ateete.

According to the prosecution, Nduhukire and Ateete were previously romantically involved before transitioning into a friendship.

Ateete is accused of playing a key role in luring the victim into Nduhukire’s circle.

The victim, a minor residing in Qatar with her mother, had come to Uganda to retake her International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) exams after underperforming in Qatar.

She initially stayed with her paternal aunt in Naguru after arriving in the country on April 20, 2024, but disappeared on May 3, 2024.

Investigations revealed that the victim had been in communication with Ateete via Snapchat and a tracked phone number.

On May 4, the victim returned home but was evasive about her whereabouts, raising further suspicion. It was later established that Ateete had used deceit to lure the minor into meetings, which eventually connected her with Nduhukire.

Court documents allege that on May 27, Ateete met the victim at Aura Bar on Acacia Avenue for drinks, where Nduhukire joined them.

Ateete reportedly received UGX 800,000 for introducing the victim to Ndihukire.

The trio then proceeded to Tagore Living Apartments on Kayunga Road, where Nduhukire allegedly provided cocaine to the victim and another girl.

The prosecution claims that Nduhukire and Ateete manipulated the victim, exploiting her vulnerability and limited knowledge of their intentions.

The State is pursuing charges of drug-related offenses and sexual exploitation against both suspects.

The case highlights growing concerns about the exploitation of young girls through social media platforms and other deceptive means.

The court proceedings are ongoing as the prosecution seeks justice for the victim.

The Buganda Chief Magistrate committed Don Nasser to High Court for trial.
