A visibly incensed Speaker of Parliament Anita Annet Among has Wednesday adjourned plenary following the absence of all 83 Ministers.
The Speaker in a low but tough tone said she would meet the Executive to discuss the matter before House resumes on Thursday afternoon.
“Honourable members I am not sure that we going to continue like this I think I need to talk to executive on this matter.
We are going to talk to executive on this matter, if this house is meant for only MPs then let’s be told so,” Among said.
“If we are supposed to have ministers that represent the executive, then we should have ministers on this front bench. But we can’t come here as MPs, waste our time, talk, no is to respond and they are paid highly.”
“We have 83 ministers, and for that reason therefore, I first want to meet executive on that matter, lets adjourn the House until this issue is resolved. We are adjourning the House until tomorrow at 2pm,” she said.
