Ugandans are wondering why Sandara Teta, wife to depressed musician Weasel Manizo can’t quit her toxic marriage or maybe she will leave when she is six feet under.
Horrifying pictures of battered Sandra as if she have moved widely on social media sparking off condemnation from various sections of the public including the church.
But what dismayed those showing concern about Sandra’s plight is a clarification on her social media pages that the brutality was meted out on her by goons and not the loving and romantic hubby Douglas Mayanja alias Weasel as reported.
Whereas the public accepted this narrative, video evidence emerged of the singer storming Nomad bar as early as 7am carrying his children while accusing the dangerously beautiful Rwandan lady of cheating on him with men inside the bar.
Revelers were left speechless as Weasel shouting on top of his voice spewing ungodly, words spent over 2 hours outside the bar until the wife emerged from a different direction wondering whether her husband had run mad.
In our investigation, TrumpetNews has established that Sandra Teta, who has no relative or next of kin here in Uganda had all her travel documents confiscated by the husband which gives him leverage to unleash terror on her at any time well knowing he will evade the full arm of the law.
“Teta is Rwandan. She has no one she can run to in case anything happens,” said a concerned member of Leon Island crew, a music group headed by Weasel’s big brother Chameleon real names Joseph Mayanja.
Weasel has for long been battling depression after the death of his associate Mowzey Radio in 2017.
Considering that Weasel was the less talented he has since failed to carry on the Good Life brand by releasing hit songs instead he resorted to alcohol and drugs to manage the stress.
“You must know that the Good Life crew would get a gig at least every week and would earn around 6 to 8 million and share it. Now he begs promoters to invite him to sing and give him fuel of 100k or 150k. This also comes after a long time,” added separate source.
With such earning, Mr Manizo has not ably supported his wife and children.
“Of course Sandra couldn’t sit and watch hunger ravage her children she had to do something. She started hosting theme nights, invite partiers and share commission of the sales with the bar proprietors,” added a source.
This is the new means of survival by Kampala women.
A woman in a bar irrespective of her standards is subjected to many temptations and particularly with Sandra’s beauty and status, it requires a strong heart to desist men’s advances. It also must be noted that a mother can do anything to bring food to her children.
RESCUE
As an old adage goes, blood is thicker than water. Weasels brothers Chameleon and Humphrey Mayanja have supported him musically and financially.
“You have most times seen Chameleon invite Weasel on stage even when the show is not his. He always wants to keep him afloat in the industry,” said a close friend.
For Humphrey who is in the U.S he sends him upkeep.
Our investigations has further ascertained that when Chameleon learnt of the violence Weasel had unleashed, he worked along with the relatives to keep the children out of Sandra’s eye as the only leverage to save his brother from going to jail.
“They also hacked her social media account to post false information that she had been attacked by thugs,” another source said.
Earlier, Weasel boxed her and broke her upper front tooth.
We have gathered that Sandra Teta’s parents travelled to Uganda to meet their daughter having learnt of her ordeal on internet.
However, Chameleon blocked them from meeting her.
It has taken one lady Daniella Atim, Chameleon’s wife who also left her marriage to settle in the U.S to speak out about the rotten actions of her brother in-law.
She has asked all concerned citizens to offer a helping hand to Sandra to leave the marriage before she is killed.
Instead, Humphrey attacked her through social media in a bid to threaten her to back off her quest to rescue Sandra.
