Hell has broken loose in the opposition establishment- National Unity Platform (NUP) after the Leader of Opposition (LOP) in Parliament, Hon Mathias Mpuuga and other party lawmakers defied their principal Robert Kyagulanyi and rejected to return shs 40 million extended to all MPs for unknown reasons.
All MPs received the money in cash by signing for it in one of the offices at 5th floor of the Ugandan Parliament.
Mr Kyagulanyi, according to an insider summoned Mpuuga and expressed his dissatisfaction saying accepting the money would expose the party as full of very unscrupulous officials.
Kyagulanyi therefore proposed that returning the money would not only earn them popularity but also restore trust among their subjects considering the recent reports that NUP MPs have been busy eating money from Parliament, while others are erecting skyscrapers and forgetting the voters who sent them to the August House.
However, Mpuuga wondered where Bobi Wine had gathered audacity to order him return the funds yet he had pocketed part of the shs 200 million Parliament allocated to all MPs to buy cars at the beginning of the 11th Parliament.
Against that backdrop, Bobi Wine felt not only undermined but betrayed.
According to a source who spoke to this website on condition of anonymity, Bobi Wine has since launched a clandestine fight to expose Mpuuga and ilk.
But Bobi Wine’s advisors are worried that the cold war could leave the youngest opposition party in tatters.
The self-proclaimed ghetto gladiator has responded to his advisors that he doesn’t care as long as no ‘weevil’ is left unturned.
A source, further articulated that Bobi Wine has been engaging his ‘army’ on which approach to employ to expose Mpuuga without necessarily hurting the party and its diehards.
Some of the NUP MPs who reportedly signed stormed the office at the 5th floor of Parliament include, Mathias Mpuuga, John Nambeshe, Joel Ssenyonyi, Francis Zaake and all the other legislators.
However, TrumpetNews couldn’t independently verify these allegations.
The plan Bobi Wine has hatched is to leak through proxies the money Mpuuga has received and his cohort.

In relation to the above development, an emolument pay slip from Parliament belonging to COSASE chairman also a NUP MP and spokesersonJoel Ssenyonyi has been doing rounds on social media.
In the pay slip, Ugandans are dismayed to learn that the Nakawa West MP earns over 110 million monthly, through salary and allowances at a time MPs including those in opposition advocated for salary rise and he claims to be in “struggle” with other NUP supporters.
