The coordinator of Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) Gen. Salim Saleh has said he wants to begin singing and intends to use his music to carry across the National Resistance Movement (NRM) message.

One and a half weeks ago, during a memorial service for the General’s late wife Harriet Aber Nalongo, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s younger brother Salongo Gen Caleb Akandwanaho aka Salim Saleh, said he is contemplating joining the music industry as a singer so that he can pass on his message through his songs.

He also added that people see him host musicians and continue to have dealings with them and they think that he is mad but he is not.

According to Gen Saleh, the musicians are very potential supporters and they play a very important role in rallying support for the government and relaying the regime’s message.

So, if managed well, they could really help to pass on the message.

This comes at a time when artistes are being put on the spotlight for dining with Gen Saleh in Gulu asking for financial assistance.

A stimulus budget was even reportedly created, spearheaded by singer Jose Chameleon on behalf of the United Superstars Association, requesting for compensation by government as a result of individual losses made thanks to the ban on public gatherings and music shows during the lockdown.

This explains why the musicians have been flocking Gulu City imploring for financial aid from the General which from the look of things, brings to the mind of Gen Saleh the thought of partnering with them to foster the ideologies and developmental schemes of the government among the Ugandan populace through music. After all, music is the way to a man’s soul.

Gen Saleh nevertheless maintains that he is only meeting them to get more support for government projects and the likes and not because he is mentally challenged.
