The Deputy Inspector General of Police (D/IGP) Maj Gen Paul Lokech has Saturday morning died.

The battle-hardened UPDF combatant reportedly died of blood clot.

Uganda Police is organizing a presser and will give more details.

Lokech was christened the Lion of Mogadishu after commanding a contingent of UPDF soldiers that flushed out Al-Shabaab terrorists in Somali capital Mogadishu.

Rest in Peace.
