A teacher who has been on the run for the last seven months following the death of a 13-year-old pupil he allegedly beat up has been arrested by Col. Edith Nakalema.
By the time of filing this report, Peter Mubaala, was being interrogated by detectives at State House Anti- Corruption Unit head offices in Kampala.
Mubaala will be arraigned before Makindye Magistrates Court later today.
He has been on the run since December last year after committing the crime.
He beat up a pupil identified as Atiel Beny, a Primary Seven candidate for failing a science test on December 9, 2020. Beny, collapsed and died.
Mubaala was netted by Col. Nakalema’s team last night.
