Nabbanja: We shall Use NIRA database to Know and Pay vulnerable People

Prime Minister Nabbanja oversees OPM which supervises the NUSAF project

Government has released thirteen categories of Ugandans who will receive the cash transfer of UGX 100,000 with withdraw charges as Covid-19 relief following the current 42-day lockdown.

The money was proposed by Covid-19 Task Force chaired by the Prime Minister of Uganda Rt Hon Robinah Nabbanja.

Unlike the previous lockdown, this time round, Hon Nabbanja proposed that instead of distributing relief food, government should send money directly to people’s handsets as a means of curbing corruption.

Below is the list of who will benefit from the relief cash.
