ON THE MOVE: Oulanyah hands over Office as He prepares to Takeover Speakership

Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hon Jacob Oulanyah has Wednesday handed over office following the expiration of 10^th Parliament.

And by the virtue of the of the office as an MP and per article 77:3 of the constitution and per article 82:7(d), Oulanyah ceased being the deputy Speaker.

He handed over office to the Clerke of Parliament Jane Kibirige.

Oulanyah is contesting to be Speaker of the 11^th Parliament. He faces stiff competition from the current Speaker Rt Hon Rebecca Kadaga who had earlier said she would not stand.

The election for Speaker is slated for 24^th May as new MPs vote at Kololo grounds.

Oulanyah has assured his supporters of victory on Monday.
