Museveni Sworn In: I will Bear True Allegiance to Republic of Uganda

Time Check: 12:10, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has been handed instruments of power and also taken oath of office for 6th term of Uganda’s leader.

Museveni was sworn in by Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny- Dollo at Kololo Independence Grounds in Kampala.

“In the name of the almighty God that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to the Republic of Uganda, and that I will preserve, protect and defend the constitution; So help me God,” Museveni swore before God as witnessed by over 4000 dignitaries from across the world including 11 Heads of States.

Museveni 76, will be ruling the country until 2026 making 40 years in leadership.
