The body of a Police Constable identified as James Ochan has been recovered Tuesday morning hanging from a tree in Banda Primary School playground in Nakawa Division.
Jinja Road Police station has launched investigations into his death. The deceased was attached to the Ministry of Water and Environment.
The body was hanging from a tree by a rope, Luke Owoyesigire the police spokesperson in Kampala said.
“He was identified by a phone that was in the pocket of his trousers. Investigations are ongoing to ascertain what exactly happened to him.
The reports of the Scene of Crime officers, pathologists and detectives that talking to his friends and friends will enable us understand the homicide case,” Mr Owoyesigire added.
Body has been conveyed to Kampala Capital City Authority mortuary at Mulago for postmortem.
“We would like to extend our condolences to his family. We also call for calm as we ascertain what exactly happen to him.”
