COVID claims 14 people in 1 day in Uganda

Moroto Hospital Testimonial; Ministry of Health Lauded for Stopping Malaria Infections in Uganda

Health workers who have been at the frontline of fighting Malaria and recently COVID-19.

The Ministry informs the general public that results from COVID-19 tests carried out on 5th November, 2020 confirmed 14 new deaths.

The total confirmed COVID-19 of Ugandans to 13852, as 284 new infections are registered.

The new deaths bring total number of fatalities to 131.

It is not yet confirmed whether all the new deaths are Ugandans.

Those who died presented signs and symptoms of COVID-19.

“In light of the spike in new cases in Kampala Metropolitan Area, this is evident that the rate of community transmission is high,” the Ministry said.

“The public is STRONGLY advised to take personal responsibility to avoid contracting COVID-19. The earlier we change our attitude and behavior towards COVID-19, the better for our health and nation.“
