Museveni leaves for Tanzania to Attend Magufuli’s swearing in

President Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Museveni has Thursday morning left for Tanzania, Dodoma to attend the swearing in ceremony of his counterpart John Pombe Magufuli.

Magifuli will be inaugurated as Tanzania’s leader for another five years marking it the second term which ends in 2025.

Magufuli invited several African leaders including Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa, Burundi’s Prime Minister Alaine Bunyoni, Botswana’s Vice President Slumber Tsogwane and Mozambique Prime Minister Carlos Agostinho do Rosario to attend his ceremony.

Magufuli was reelected after scoring 84% with 12.5 million votes whereas his closest opponent Tundu Lissu garnered 13% with 1.9 million votes.
