President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has released another video to urging Ugandans to keep fit al home under a partial lockdown, after banning outdoor exercise in March to prevent further spread of Coronavirus.
In a one-minute and 30 second video published Wednesday on Twitter, the 75-year-old leader who is set to stand for another term in office, appears barefoot in a spacious office with a plush blue carpet, wearing a t-shirt.
“After work last night, I challenged my Bazukulu (grandchildren) to an indoor work-out;’ said Museveni.
“We did Forty Push-ups;’ he added.
At the age of 75, Museveni is keen on demonstrating his fitness amid calls by opposition to relinquish power on grounds of advanced age.
“Just like I have always advised, even at your own home, you can stay safe, and remain fit and healthy,” said Museveni this morning. Museveni can be seen in the video doing push-ups, placing his hands on a white towel. His two grandchildren later take up the challenge.
