A joint security operation conducted by police and army has seen uncountable partiers surrounded at La Venti Bar in Najjera and taken to coolers on Sunday night for flouting the Presidential directive.
According to an eyewitness over 100 people smoking shisha, drinking heavily and other dancing closely together while sweating were raided and are currently detained at Kiira and Najeera Police Stations.
The bar was parked to the brim as cividiots sipped booze, puffed while others caressed themselves without minding the Ministry of Health guidelines at a time Uganda has registered two COVID-19 deaths and tens of new infections.
On Sunday, the health authorities confirmed that an 80 year old female passed away at Mengo Hospital after suffering from COVID-19.
The hundreds of covidiots arrested from La Venti are likely to be charged in courts of law on Monday.
