Kaweesi shooting:  Kayihura reshuffles police commanders

The Inspector General of Police, Gen. Kale Kayihura has reshuffled 48 regional and district police commanders.

The transfers have been announced on Thursday evening through a radio message and they take immediate effect.

“The following transfers/appointments are ordered with immediate effect,” Kayihura’s message says.

The development comes high on heels of a senior police officer Andrew Felix Kaweesi’s assassination that has sent shivers down the security spine.

The killers are still at large as Police and its sister security agencies investigate the brutal murder.

Kayihura promised the nation that the assailants will be arrested and dealt with accordingly.
