COVID-19 cases in Rwanda hit 40

Coronavirus has since become a global threat.

Rwanda government has registered 4 more new cases of Coronavirus on Tuesday bringing the total to 40.

According to the country’s Health Ministry, the new cases include 2 travellers from Dubai, one from Belgium and one contact traced from a previously confirmed infected traveller.

On Monday the cases grew by 17 on Monday to a total of 36.

The 17 cases were nine travellers from Dubai, UAE, three travellers from Kenya, two from the United States, and one each from Qatar and India.

Another one case is a contact of a previously confirmed case who was traced.

All the travellers entered isolation between 17th and 20th March and were tested, according to the ministry.

Rwanda so far is the East African nation with highest number of cases.
