President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has asked the public to desist from shaking hands or using elbows while greeting each other.
The President said Ugandans should wave at each other to avoid physical contact which is the fastest way of spreading the virus.
Addressing the nation for the second time in one week, Museveni who was sitting at State House Nakasero wondered why Ugandans would still want to touch each other even when there is a confirmed case in the country.
A Ugandan aged 36 who arrived from Dubai on Saturday morning tested positive. He is still admitted at Entebbe Grade B hospital.
The President added that no passengers are allowed to enter or leave Uganda through any borders.
He said, the only people allowed to leave or enter Uganda will be those handling cargo.
Only three people are allowed to to move with cargo trucks and planes.
