Police Explains how its Officer Shot and Killed a Civilian in Wankulukuku

Police has explained events that catapulted into the death of David Kibuuka a resident of Wankulukuku, Sembule, Rubaga Division in Kampala.

The deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP) spokesperson Luke Owoyesigire has Tuesday issued a statement expounding on what happened before Mr. Kibuuka was shot by police officers.

Statement

Today at around 10:30am, along Wankulukuku Road, Sembule area in Rubaga Division, Kampala Capital City, there was an Mega! protest at a factory over closure of a community road.

Our teams have been sent back to the crime scene to collect evidence that is important in the investigations. We want also to call upon the residents in the area to remain calm as police investigates the incident.
