People Power Movement leader Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has treated his Canadian supporters to a sumptuous meal as he prepares to take on President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in the coming elections.
The Kyadondo East legislator has already began traversing the world soliciting funds to facilitate his campaigns.
While in Canada over the weekend Mr. Kyagulanyi served the People Power loyalists a meal as a sign of togetherness in a fight against Museveni.
He later took to his social media pages to appreciate his supporters.
Let me send heartfelt gratitude to our sisters and brothers in Canada for coming out in large numbers on Sunday, to express solidarity with us and our struggle for a better country. It was such a great experience attending a moving church service which focused on servant leadership, before we proceeded to a town hall meeting.
I cannot thank you enough friends, for constantly standing with us whenever we have been challenged in the past. Last year, these comrades led one of the biggest #FreeBobiWine protests. They did not stop there, but have continued to stand with our quest for democracy and the rule of law. We do not take that for granted. Thank you comrades for loving your country and pledging to do everything within your power to change it. I cannot thank you enough for your great levels of organization that left all of us amazed and challenged. I cannot thank you enough for raising funds to support the struggle. THANK YOU.
It was very humbling to see the community’s unanimous endorsement of me, to challenge President Museveni, come 2021. Together, let’s do this.
To the leadership of the #PeoplePower team in Canada, you guys are the best. Your great levels of organisation could only be matched by your hospitality and friendship. I look forward to joining you again, soon.
Our next engagement will be with our friends in Washington, DC tomorrow evening.
