Edwin Katamba alias MC Kats whose slogan goes “I Fear only God” was yesterday over the moon after his video circulated widely on social media as he met up the management of Pearl of Africa to sign a contract.
This happened a just a day after he was shown exit by management of Fame Lounge along Acacia in Kampala where he hosted popular event “celebrity night.”
It turned out that Kat’s fate was sealed on Tuesday night for failing to hit his targets, taking on stock using foul language to engage bar patrons little did he know they pay his salary.
Hitting back, Kats shared pictures of the crowds that thronged the bar during the nights he hosted. It is understood that Kats was required to market the night for the bar to make abnormal sales but in vain.
His target was shs 8 million from sales, but his night never made a quarter of that money.
“God is on my side. The God I serve never forgets me,” Mr. Katamba captioned the video he wildly and widely shared on all the Whatsup groups and several other platforms where he boosts a massive following.
We understand Kats shared the video more than 5 times on whatsapp prompting group members to fume, but as his slogan goes, not even these irate whatsup members could threaten the man who “fears only the almighty.”
According to the video, Mr. Katamba had been invited at the struggling hotel to seal a marketing deal in which he will host the celebrity night at this swanky hotel.
What still shocks Ugandans is how Pearl Africa proprietor will manage to cope up with the ‘low status’ crowds he has previously dismissed at the hotel.
The owner Mohammed Hamid alias Aya had made it clear that he doesn’t allow low status people at his facility.
But what worried MC Kats’ fans, sympathizers and wellwishers is whether he will manage at Pearl Hotel with his short temper.
Those known to Aya says his anger and arrogance can ‘win world cup.’
“Besides, he has security, he is muscular over kats, owns a gun and is well connected. We simply need to pray for our brother,” said a strong supporter of Kats.
