The spokesperson of Rwanda’s new rebel group, National Liberation Force (NLF) Calixte Sankara has reportedly been captured.
This rebel group which emerged mid last year declared war on President Paul Kagame and has since engaged the government troops in fierce battles in jungles of Nyungwe in the south of Rwanda.
Whereas this website was by press time verifying the capture of Sankara, reports indicate that he was netted Saturday night at Ibrahim Airport in Comoros.
NLF is a military wing of Rwandan Movement for Democratic Change (RMDC) led by an affluent humanitarian Paul Rusesabagina who is deputized by Maj. Sankara.
The rebel outfit has in the last few days given Kagame sleepless nights as it intensified war on RDF soldiers in Nyungwe forests.
Tens of government troops were killed including senior ranking army officials whose names were concealed.
In retaliation government shot, killed and captured hundreds of rebels who are presently detained at Kami Prison.
This website is gathering more details on Sankara’s arrest. We will update you.
