People Power leader, Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi has reacted to President Yoweri Museveni’s previous comments suggesting that the opposition politician can only handle music.
Museveni while at State House scoffed at Kyagulanyi commonly known as Bobi Wine who thinks leadership is like music.
Museveni who was meeting youth from Kampala urged them to desist being misled by a clique of selfish politicians like Bobi Wine, who last year was arrested in Arua fracas for commanding an attack on Museveni’s motorcade.
Museveni said such a brand of politicians are leading the youth into death.
Over the weekend, while attending a victory party for Arua Municipality MP, Kassiano Wadri, Bobi Wine, took time to respond to Museveni’s remarks.
“You said that as a musician, I should stick to music alone but remember when you were my age,you did not stick to keeping cattle. When you were my age, you were busy interacting with cows and goats but at my age I have been interacting with the common people,” Bobi Wine said.
He added, ““How can you say you went to the bush to fight against oppression and to install democracy and yet 33 years later you cannot have democracy in your own party?”
The Kyadondo East MP reiterated that he will not quit politics same way Museveni abandoned cattle keeping and joined a military struggle against dictatorship.
Bobi firmly reassured his fans that will not be cowed by empty threats of people who “fear competition.”
