Newly elected DRC President Felix Tshisekedi has reassured his Ugandan counterpart of wiping out a militant outfit- ADF from the Eastern part of his country.
Tshisekedi met President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at the African Union Summit in Ethiopia.
According to State House communication handlers, Museveni and Tshisekedi held talks at Sheraton Hotel in Addis Ababa, and the two principals discussed key matters in relation to the common border, notably; the Allied Democratic Force (ADF) and Ebola threats, which issues when eliminated could lead to improved relations in other areas such as- trade.
Museveni called upon his counterpart to work towards the extermination of the ADF in Eastern Congo to which Tshisekedi said;
“They (ADF) are not a big problem, they will be jointly and materially eliminated.”
Congo being a vast country has turned into a safe haven for the rebels that have terrorized the region.
