Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has promoted senior and junior army officers including Joint Chief of Staff of Land Forces Brig. Leopold Kyanda.
He has been elevated to the rank of Major General, the fourth powerful army rank.
Museveni communicated the message through UPDF radio.
Details of other soldiers promoted are still scanty.
