URA relocates Key offices to RR Pearl Tower One as it Expands service Excellence

RR Pearl Tower One is a 22 storied building owned by tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia

The Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has announced the relocation of several vital departments to the newly completed Pearl Tower along Yusuf Lule Road, marking a significant milestone in its drive to enhance efficiency, accessibility, and client experience.

According to a public notice issued by URA Management, the transition from the Nakawa headquarters will take place in two phases between October 10th and 19th, 2025, with effective operations at the new location starting October 13th and 20th, 2025 respectively.

Departments shifting to the modern facility include the Large Taxpayers Office (LTO) occupying the 13th and 14th floors, the Public Sector and Medium Taxpayers Office (PSO & MTO) on the 11th and 12th floors, the Risk and Strategy Department on the 15th floor, and the Petroleum Division also on the 13th floor.

URA emphasized that the move is part of its broader transformation strategy aimed at bringing services closer to taxpayers and providing a more convenient, modern, and customer-friendly environment. The new offices, located opposite the Ministry of Health headquarters, will allow the Authority to serve clients in a central and easily accessible location within Kampala’s business hub.

“Our commitment remains the same  to deliver efficient, transparent, and people-centered services. The move to Pearl Tower aligns with our vision of transforming tax administration through innovation and client satisfaction,” URA stated in the notice.

Pearl Tower, developed by Meera Investments Limited, a subsidiary of the Ruparelia Group, is Kampala’s newest Grade-A office complex offering state-of-the-art infrastructure, energy-efficient systems, 24/7 security, high-speed internet connectivity, and ample parking. Standing tall with 19 floors and panoramic city views, it has quickly become the preferred destination for premium corporate tenants.

With URA joining other top institutions that have taken up space in the landmark building, Pearl Tower continues to cement its position as a symbol of modern business excellence and Kampala’s rapid urban transformation.

URA’s move signifies not just a change of address but a reaffirmation of its promise — “New location, same commitment.”
