Musician Mulwana Patrick alias Alien Skin is in Police custody over the murder of Namuwaya Wilfred, popularly known as “Top Dancer”.

Namuwaya, a former Fangone Forest dancer, died on September 22, 2025, at Mulago Hospital after a violent assault.

For days, Alien Skin’s whereabouts remained a mystery.

But a senior Police source, who requested anonymity, has confirmed that the musician has been under detention and is expected to be produced in court on Thursday this week.

The source suggested that Alien Skin could be held at Katwe Police Station, though official confirmation has not been provided.

According to preliminary police findings, on September 20, Namuwaya was lured from his Ndeeba residence by a man identified as Musomali, believed to be linked to Fangone Forest.

He was taken to the forest, where Alien Skin allegedly instructed his associates to discipline him for leaving the camp without permission.

Namuwaya was badly beaten, dumped in Mpomba Zone, and later rushed to Mulago Hospital by Good Samaritans. He succumbed to injuries two days later.

Katwe Police are leading the investigations and have also listed Commander Mudogo, Ibra Kabadiya, and Mijagulo as suspects still on the run.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango confirmed that efforts are ongoing to track down all those involved.

The Fangone Forest gang has been accused of assaulting several people in recent weeks, with many victims reportedly too scared to file complaints.

Alien Skin’s expected court appearance is likely to draw wide public interest given his prominence in Uganda’s music scene.
