Responding to speculation about her intentions, Among clarified:
“You wanted to know whether I am contesting for NRM National Vice Chairperson – Female. I am not standing for the position in Eastern; I am standing for NRM National Vice Chairperson – Female.”
This development signals Among’s intent to compete for a position currently held by Hon. Rebecca Kadaga, the former Speaker of Parliament and the current 2nd Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Affairs.
