Muhoozi gifts Kabaka 10 cows

Gen Muhoozi who is the CDF donated 10 cows to Buganda King Muwenda Mutebi

In a gesture of goodwill, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has donated 10 cows to Ssabasajja Kabaka Mwenda Mutebi II on the eve of the 31st coronation ceremony, scheduled to take place tomorrow at Namirembe Diocese.

The symbolic gift was delivered today at Mengo Bulange by a delegation from the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), led by Chairman Nuwagira Michael Kaguta, also known as Toyota, the national vice chairman.

The delegation included PLU secretary general Hon. Daudi Kabanda, Michael Katungi PLU Director of External Affairs, Minister Balaam Barugahara, several MPs, and other PLU supporters.

Chairman Toyota commended the Buganda Kingdom for their consistent hospitality towards PLU. “This marks our second visit to the Buganda Kingdom this year, the first being for the Kabaka Run,” he noted.

“PLU is a non-partisan, non-sectarian, and non-denominational civic organization that prioritizes the interests of the country. We appreciate the Buganda Kingdom for being a model of unity and patriotism,” said Chairman Toyota.

He also conveyed Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s gratitude. “Gen. Kainerugaba appreciates your efforts and cooperation in ensuring a peaceful Uganda. You play a significant role in maintaining peace and stability,” he added.

Owekitibwa Anthony Wamala, representing the Katikiro, expressed the kingdom’s appreciation for PLU’s efforts to unite Ugandans across different political and religious backgrounds. “Buganda is pleased to see members from NRM, NUP, and FDC come together. This unity is what the country needs,” Minister Wamala remarked.

Wamala assured continued cooperation, saying, “As long as you respect the Kabaka, the Buganda Kingdom is always ready for any collaboration that ensures the smooth running of our country.”

“The Ssabasajja Kabaka will greatly appreciate your gifts, and the Buganda Kingdom supports all the positive initiatives of Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba,” Wamala affirmed.

In a symbolic comparison, the Minister for Communications in the Buganda Kingdom likened PLU and Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba to a biblical son who understood his parent’s needs and thus received his brother’s blessing.
