Ugandan youth leader Davis Akampulira has made a significant impression on Russian President Vladimir  Putin by raising the issue of how to tackle injustice on in global politics during the closure of World Youth Festival (WYF) in Sochi, Russia.

The powerful question posed by Akampulira on Wednesday night at Sirius in Southern Russia prompted President Putin to extend an invitation to him for a private meeting to discuss further strategies and solutions for addressing this pressing issue collaboratively.

This development highlights the potential for constructive dialogue and action between President Putin and African Youth.

In his thunderous question, Mr Akampulira who leads a delegation of 30 Ugandan Youth on the Russian soil asked Putin if he has plans of engaging African youth to fight social injustice posed by Western propagandists.

The WYF brings together tens of thousands of young leaders across the world to share opportunities and knowledge on leadership, innovation, business, and among others.

Akampulira’s bold move and impassioned plea underscored his commitment to advocating for the rights and welfare of people in Africa on a global stage.

His actions have sparked discussions and garnered praise from both local and international audiences, highlighting the importance of empowering youth to bring about positive change in the world.

Akampulira showcased the resilience and determination of Ugandan youth in overcoming obstacles and pursuing their aspirations.

Earlier on the same event, Akampulira stressed the importance of empowering youth to become leaders and agents of change in their communities and beyond.

Davis Akampulira, who started as youth advocate at Makerere University, has ascended through the ranks government and fostered strong ties with the Russian government, resulting in Ugandan  youth being granted the opportunity to address delegates at the WYF.
