Molly Bunanukye Katanga’s recent medical examination has brought positive news to both her and family following a Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan conducted for comprehensive health assessment.
Doctors at Rubi Hospital in Kampala who carried out the scan reported that Katanga showed no signs of complications, with the only notable finding being a minor issue related to her sinuses.
Katanga was prompted to do the MRI following the numerous surgeries performed on her at IHK where she has been admitted for now 43 days after a the tragic morning of November 2 when domestic brawl between her and the husband Henry Katanga left the latter dead.
Katanga was shot dead. Who shot him inside his bedroom remains a unknown until determined by Court.
Molly Katanga would later be charged with murder of her husband although she remains bedridden.
Whereas she has not been seen publicly, her lawyer Kampala Associated Advocates (KAA) claim that Molly was gravely injured during the scuffle with her husband and as a result she has experienced stagnated healing in certain regions of her scalp, evidenced by persistent scabs and blackening of the region, dizziness which has impacted her mobility and comfort in general.
And as a result, the doctors at IHK recommended that she undergoes a brain MRI scan to establish the root cause of the stagnated healing/ blackening of certain regions of her scalp and the progressive dizziness.
She underwent the scan on Monday. Although details of the MRI report remain concealed, this website that has been following the matter closely, learnt that she was found with no major complication other than sinuses which she could have developed because of the perennial coldness in hospital’s ICU and the many times she has been subjected to surgeries like her lawyers aver.
Molly’s family members had wished the MRI is conducted in a specialized hospital out of the country to which authorities at Criminal Investigations Department (CID) objected, but instead offered her a Police car to drive her to Rubi hospital.
TrumpetNews, has also learnt that detectives in Police have also attained the raw copy of the MRI report to avoid any form of concoction for any reasons known to those interested in the matter.
The results have provided a sigh of relief for both Katanga and those closely following the developments.
This positive update adds a layer of complexity to the ongoing narrative surrounding Molly Katanga, emphasizing the multidimensional nature of her situation. It remains to be seen how this new medical information will factor into the broader context of her case and the legal proceedings ahead.
