Siima Katanga, the last born of Henry Katanga and Molly Katanga has been missing ever since the tragic shooting of his father on the morning of November 2.
Siima neither attended the vigil nor had the opportunity to pay his last funeral rites to his departed father who met his demise by the barrel of a gun following a domestic brawl that erupted between him and his wife Molly.
The latter, according to her family members remains admitted at IHK in Kampala, 20 days after the incident.
Some reports had suggested she was in ICU, no authorities can deny or confirm this information.
Two prominent Ugandan who wield power by the virtue of their relationship with the First Family have since opened a can of worms with their Court Petition demanding for an inquest into the death of Henry Katanga.
The duo; Barnabas Taremwa a brother to Jovia Saleh- wife to Gen Salim Saleh and Brig. Gen. Freddie Karara Machwa the uncle of the deceased, through their lawyers have penned scathing petition asking Court to examine a number of people, including the deceased’s children, wife, UPDF Generals and other family members over their role in what could have caused the shooting of the astute businessman.
Katanga together with his wife co-owned a multibillion procurement and supplies company whose main clients are top government and security agencies.
In the Court Petition Mr Taremwa who identifies himself as the brother inlaw of Henry Katanga alleges that, “soon after the late Henry Katanga met his death, his last born son, a one Siima Katanga, was immediately whisked away from the deceased’s Mbuya home in ways and means that deterred him from keeping vigil at the deceased’s Mbuya home and or attending his slain father’s burial at Karuroko, Kikatsi, Nyabushozi and todate his whereabouts remain obscure.”
It remains unknown if the Court will compel whoever responsible for keeping the 11 year old boy to produce him for cross-examination.
