Tricia whose Fingerprints were Allegedly found on Gun that Shot Katanga isn’t his Biological daughter

Tricia Katanga got married a week before his foster father was shot dead at his residence in Mbuya

Tricia Katanga a lady in her early 30s who narrated to Police officers how her parents- Henry Katanga and Molly Katang- picked a misunderstanding on the morning of 2nd of November, resulting into her dad’s death is not a biological child of the deceased.

This website that established that Tricia has since been quizzed by Police and army investigators from Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) to ascertain her alleged role before and after the death of her foster father.

“She spent a whole day (Monday) at Special Investigations Division (SID) in Kireka being interrogated,” said a source.

A government owned newspaper, New Vision on Wednesday reported that Tricia’s fingerprints were allegedly found on a pistol no.UG 16222 00061 CZ99 COMPACT which was used to shoot and kill Mr Katanga in the head.

What investigators are struggling to ascertain is who could have pulled the trigger.

According to Tricia, she was present when her mother and father got a misunderstanding, and she would later hear a loud bang only to rush to their bedroom and found Molly unconscious and Katanga soaked in a pool of blood.

Police, in its preliminary report said, Molly had been evacuated to hospital at a time of its arrival.

New Vision last week further reported that a shamba boy was instructed to clean blood that had spilled in the house.

This website has learned that investigators have established that Tricia Katanga is not a biological daughter of the deceased but rather a biological child of Molly.

Tricia’s real father is Katanga’s elder brother identified as James Katanga who passed on when Molly was still pregnant.

James Katanga died mysterious at a time he was working with Internal Security Organization (ISO) in the 90s.

James died just a month to his wedding with Molly.

Following his death, investigators learned that Molly’s parents’ implored Katanga’s father to find a man for their daughter since she was already pregnant.

The old man sat down Henry Katanga and begged him to take Molly and accept him as his wife, fearing to defy his father the deceased married Molly and had since taken care of Tricia as his own daughter.

The couple has been together for over 30 years and had since produced 3 more children, one boy Arthur Katanga and two girls- Martha Katanga who is pregnant and 11 year old Siima Katanga.

This means that Henry Katanga didn’t marry a woman he had chosen for himself.

The couple had amassed a lot of wealth through their procurement and supplies company MERGE whose 10 top clients are government institutions including State House, army and Uganda Police.

Henry Katanga and his wife Molly Katanga

Both Molly and Katanga have been highly placed in government and UPDF circles.

A week before Katanga’s murder he had given away his daughter Tricia who married a man only identified as Ghandi, in a lavish and colourful ceremony held at Mestil Hotel in Kampala.

Earlier reports indicated that Tricia had been telephoned by a shamba boy notifying her of a domestic brawl involving her parents and she rushed from Bugolobi to Mbuya at her parents’ residence.

However, New Vision on Wednesday reported that investigators found out that she had been called by her mother Molly not the shamba boy.

Her mother remains admitted to hospital at IHK after sustaining head injuries.

TrumpetNews continues to dig deep to ascertain facts on what exactly could have happened on the morning of November 2, at Katanga’s residence that resulted into loss of a life.
