Keddi Foundation, a Kampala based charity organization continues to stretch it’s helping hand with a 7 year old heart patient becoming the latest beneficiary.
Henry Kizito was born with unknown complication that he has been battling for 7 years with his parents spending shs 200,000 to 300,000 for treatment every month.
At the age of 6, Kizito started failing to breath and according to his father Henry Mwebesa, the family was advised to seek consultations from Mulago Heart Institute.
“When we went to Mulago we were told that Kizito has a hole on his heart and needed surgery that would cost $10000. We didn’t know how much 10000 dollars is. When we asked were told it is shs 35 million,” Mwebesa said.
Mwebesa was speaking on Friday as he received $10000 from the director of Keddi Foundation, Hon Steven Keddi amid jubilations at his home in Sondo, Mukono district.
Hon Keddi reiterated that the charity organization will not wait for government to intervene in such dire situations that require very urgent intrusion.
This donation comes a week after Keddi Foundation visited Namisindwa district in Eastern Uganda and donated over $1.2m which saw a dilapidated school roofed and a sacco to boost finances of the teachers formed.
