How Kitatta plotted to Hoodwink Museveni as Originator of “Jjaja Tova Ku Main” slogan

Namyalo launching the slogan

The LC5 chairperson of Lwengo district Ibrahim Kitatta is grappling with bitterness following his exit from Kyambogo based Office of the National Chairman (ONC).

Kitatta, according to reliable information obtained by this investigative website, had planned to use the ONC to advance his selfish agenda by discrediting the head of the office and also hoodwink the NRM chairman that he (Kitatta) birthed the slogan “Jajja Tova Ku Main.”

Namyalo caught the eye of President Yoweri Museveni because of her extraordinary mobilization skills particularly in Buganda. The President appointed her as the head of the ONC, and empowered her with resources to coordinate and mobilize mostly youth (Bazzukulu) as 2026 gains steam.

Namyalo then coined a slogan “Jajja Tova Ku Main” in which millions of Museveni’s supporters especially the young people are imploring the President to contest for the 7th term because he still exudes the energy and wisdom to lead this country.

Kitatta who joined the ONC later at the invitation of Namyalo, instead worked behind her to destabilize the outfit.

Because ONC is very strategic entity particularly in managing Buganda affairs and considering that Museveni garnered less votes in the Central Region compared to his opponents in the 2021 polls, security agencies especially Internal Security Organization (ISO) has been closely monitoring the office and its dealings.

And people like Kitatta and Frank Gashumba were found unfit to continue working at Kyambogo because of their weird character.

“For example, Gashumba printed poor quality T-shirts and caps. Kitatta was at the center of mismanaging funds,” said a source.

ISO has also been probing accusation of sexual harassment.

This website however, couldn’t independently verify this claim.

Sensing danger and realizing that his time was out, Kitatta rushed to register the slogan at Uganda Registrar Services Bureau (URSB) claiming ownership with an aim of hoodwinking Museveni that he is the brains behind the popular catchphrase.

Through his lawyers of Kabega, Bogezi and Bukenya Advocates he recently submitted an application to URSB in which he says he owns the exclusive rights of the slogan.

The slogan was launched in October last year by the group of Bazzukulu led by Hajati Namyalo at the Kyambogo office. Namayalo and his cohort moved around the country seeking endorsement for the President to run in 2026.

It therefore beats one’s understanding how Kitatta who joined the bandwagon later claims he the architect.

Efforts to reach Kitatta for comment were unsuccessful by the time of filing this report.

Equally Hajati Namyalo was unavailable when contacted but earlier she told the media that it is wastage of time to respond to detractors like Kitatta and Gashumba.
