The State Minister for Education and Sports Hon Peter Ogwang travelled to Turkey for “routine medical checkup”, a close relative told this website on Tuesday morning.
Reports circulating on social media platforms on Monday evening suggested the Minister had been rushed to Turkey in critical condition with damaged kidney.
“These are lies. Alarmists just. The Minister is fine. Yes, he travelled to Turkey for a routine medical checkup and will be back either on Tuesday or Wednesday,” said a relative without divulging more details.
This dispels online reports that the youthful minister had been poisoned and he was fighting for his life.
