Muhoozi reconciles with Otafiire

Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba

Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has revealed he habours no intentions of fighting Interior Minister, Gen (rtd) Kahinda Otafiire.

The two leaders have in the recent past exchanged a tirade of political outbursts with the First Son vowing to disprove the NRM historical that he has massive support across the country.

Otafiire had turned Muhoozi into daily fodder on numerous platforms, slandering him as big headed, defiant army officer who deserves to be ignored because he has breached the code of conduct.

Instead Otafiire spearheaded a crusade that has moved around the country endorsing President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni as NRM’s 2026 presidential candidate.

The youth who constitute a number of majority voters in Uganda, asked Museveni last year to allow Muhoozi retire from the Forces so he can concentrate on his political career.

They codenamed Muhoozi, “standby generator.”

Museveni applauded the youth for supporting MK (Muhoozi Kainerugaba).

The same President had earlier explained why he named his son Muhoozi which means “avenger.”

But Otafiire ridiculed the “standby generator” title saying it is dysfunctional.

Against that background Muhoozi vowed to “teach him a lesson” that  he is more popular than the NRM historicals.

Previously Muhoozi also referred to NRM party as confused and reactionary.

In unprecedented twist of events, Muhoozi has Wednesday morning stated that Otafiire is his other uncle and close friend to his father- Gen Museveni.

“Let me make this very clear for the world. General Otafiire is another uncle of mine. He is a close comrade of my father. I will never fight him,” Muhoozi tweeted.
