Rashid Nturagye, a student at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) was killed and his body dumped in a swamp in Nyabuhikye along Ibanda- Mbarara road.
The deceased was lynched by irate boda boda riders after he failed to raise shs 50,000 as transport fee from Mbarara to Ibanda.
Nturagye who hails from Kitagwenda, Kamwenge District had completed his medicine and surgery course and was waiting to graduate.
An eyewitness said the deceased was found naked with wounds, his belongings such as Identity card and an old passport thrown meters away.
The Identity card showed that he was a student at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) where he was pursuing a bachelor of medicine and surgery.
