As National Unity Platform (NUP) supporters gathered at the party headquarters in Kamwokya on Friday, to pray for their colleagues who died on November 18, 2020 in the election violence, members paraded a number of pictures of the victims.
The party also held prayers for all supporters who have been missing, believed to have been abducted by the state security apparatus.
Among the supporters which the party members claim to have disappeared is Peter Kirya who bears face of Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi.
The picture taken by UBC news anchor Sharon Kyomugisha who covered the event has started going viral on social media platforms.
“While looking at the pictures of the missing persons during their prayer session for the deceased and missing at the NUP offices, one guy resembled Eric Omondi. I asked and was informed it was Kirya Peter.
And when I googled it was Eric Omondi. So who is Kirya Peter?” tweeted Ms Kyomugisha.
