The UPDF has apprehended a number of UPDF soldiers attached to Kawempe barracks who are accused of assaulting a private investigator Geoffrey Burora.
A video of Burora, the director of PIC Investigations, a licensed firm, with distorted information was Saturday morning released and it went viral.
In the video, a voice of man behind the camera claimed Burora was armed with a pistol and had threatened to shoot him.
The same voice reminded Burora that whereas he was brandishing a pistol which has 15 rounds of ammunition, the soldier has an AK47.
“I will shoot you. You know I have an AK47,” said a soldier.
After the video made rounds on internet, TrumpetNews launched an investigation to ascertain the facts and what exactly happened.

This website has established that it is true Burora is an investigator and armed.
On Thursday evening as he left office he dropped off a friend below Nakulabye Police Station and to wait for friend to enter the gate since thugs waylay most people at their gates.
Before he could return to the main road, the Police patrol truck with cops and soldier blocked him and immediately surrounded his car.
He got out, identified himself and explained that he was seeing off a friend.
However, his explanation fell on deaf ears of soldiers who demanded to know why he was in that area at that time.
One of the soldiers attempted to handcuff him in an arrest, saw a pistol and alerted his colleagues that Burora was armed which triggered them to take the video.
The soldiers then assaulted him before taking him to Naakulabye Police Station under Old Kampala Division claiming he attempted to shoot them.
Burora then called the DPC of Old Kampala and area Army IOs who intervened and caused immediate release without a bond after ascertaining that what was alleged against him was false.
To his surprise on Saturday morning he received a video of the same which started circulating like wildfire.
It prompted him to inform Police and Army authorities about the malicious video.
Against that backdrop, the army swiftly arrested its soldiers involved in the act of blackmail.
Burora also opened a Police case of computer misuse GEF 73/01/10/22 at Old Kampala Division.
