National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has vowed to do everything within his reach to stop the ongoing oil pipeline project.
Kyagulanyi was Friday addressing a section of Muslims in Kawempe, a Kampala suburb.
The musician who is supportive of the European Union (EU) resolution to denounce Uganda’s oil pipeline project said he wouldn’t allow his political nemesis to proceed with extraction of oil.
“We all need our mineral wealth but we can’t entrust Museveni with that wealth. Who has seen the oil agreements?” Kyagulanyi said in Luganda.
He asked his supporters not to be swayed by opinion leaders especially the elite that are used by regime to mislead the populace.
“What matters to you is the natural wealth because you have an equal share on this wealth as Museveni.”
It is against that background that Kyagulanyi amidst loud cheers said even if Museveni dances 20 hours he will not drill the oil.
However, a major section of the public has been castigating Bobi Wine for rallying behind imperialists yet he will benefit from the oil.
