Vision Group’s senior lifestyle editor Moses Serugo has been shown exit following a heap of complaints from junior reporters and interns for the past few months accusing him of mistreatment.
Mr Serugo was asked to leave industrial area based head offices last Friday, because no junior reporter was willing to work under him.
The seasoned journalist and experienced PR officer was poached last June to replace Dj Bush Baby who left for Next Media Services.
According to an official, the Human Resource office at New Vision had been receiving complaints from rookie reporters and interns but many times dismissed them as untrue because they lacked evidence.
Until, three months ago, Serugo was captured on office CCTV attempting to ‘mistreat’ one of his juniors.
However, this website couldn’t establish what kind of mistreatment the accused been allegedly inflicting on his subordinates.
No junior reporter was willing to work under him for those late night assignments.
More reports suggest that his sacking was fueled by videos and pictures of him taken a few days ago as he partied away on a boat cruise on Lake Victoria.
“That boat cruise sealed his fate. Management couldn’t digest what was contained in the video,” said an official.
Reports further say, his seniors knowing his capabilities tried to counsel him but it was too late.
This is a developing story….
