A Ugandan national based in Dubai only identified as Sowedi narrowly survived death after two South African investors tortured him by pouring hot water on his neck, chest and stomach while demanding 2000 kilograms of gold or refund of $20000 they paid to Bullion Cargo and Security.
This website last Friday published a story how the two South Africans identified as Sandile Mazubuko and Tracy Mazubuko claimed that they paid $20000 for gold while still in Uganda but had not accessed it after they were told it had been shipped to Dubai.
However, this website has since landed on documents which indicate that Bullion Cargo firm was only contracted to handle the gold and the fee of $20000 paid and a receipt handed to the clients- Micromatica Project Management Services, a registered company in Dubai.
The money was paid on 22nd July 2022.
And on 28th of the same month, the South Africans through their company Micromatica signed a sale agreement with Joseph Agana a gold dealer in Kisangani- DRC who owns Mukembo local mining company.
The agreement was selling and delivering the 2000kgs of gold to Dubai through a facilitator Suleiman Al Thani group of Company.
Meanwhile Sandile and his colleague had also used a proxy Mohamed Rafiekahmed Gharafory of Bahati Global Enterprise as a buyer.
According to the correspondences between the buyer and the seller, the facilitator would pay $444000 to UAE Customs as Tax.
Meanwhile, the buyer would pay 50% of the principal funds used in exportation of the gold in 12 hours upon confirmation that the goods had been dispatched and then clear the remaining 50% of the money upon delivery in UAE.
Meanwhile, Bullion Cargo’s role was to handle and also ensure the gold is safe during exportation.
However, upon reaching Dubai, the South African investors who had team up with two other Ugandans, Rachel Mutesi who works in the office of the President and Elphazi Muhangi that claims to be an ISO operative couldn’t trace the gold.
This website learnt that Sandile and team had not paid the money as agreed.
2000kgs of gold are worth $8 million before its smelt, refined, packed and exported.
While in Dubai frustrated, they got a contact of Bullion Cargo agent- Sowedi whom they ‘kidnapped’ demanding for gold.
In the videos and WhatsApp audios obtained by this website, Sowedi is overheard confessing that he didn’t know about the transaction between the South Africans and Bullion Cargo.
“They poured hot water on me, while forcing me to confess that I had the gold and also had stolen their money, $20000,” Sowedi said.
He added that whatever he could have confessed was done under duress and wanted to save his life.
By the time of filing this report, Police in Dubai was hunting the South Africans and Ugandans who tortured Sowedi.
But whereas Sowedi says he is unaware of the transaction between Bullion Cargo and the South Africans it remains unknown how he learnt that gold had been transported to Turkey by the facilitator as he alleged since the investors had failed to pay the principal fund as earlier negotiated as per the MoU.TrumpetNews will publish more details as events unfold.
