Hamson Obua assumes Offices of Government Chief Whip

Hon Obua receiving instruments of office from Hon Tayebwa

Former State Minister for Education and Sports and also current MP for Ajuri County Hon Denis Hamson Obua has Tuesday occupied his new office as Government Chief Whip.

The seat fell vacant when Hon Thomas Tayebwa resigned to contest for Deputy Speaker in March this year.

At the time Obua served as State Minister for Education and Sports was elevated last month in a mini reshuffle by President Yoweri Museveni.

In the same vein, Museveni moved Hon Patrick Ogwang from Ministry of Economic Monitoring to replace Obua.

Prime Minister Rt Hon Robinah Nabanja presided over the function in which Obua sworn in as the new NRM chief whip and received instruments of office from Hon Tayebwa at Parliament of Uganda.
