Ex CID boss Grace Akullo retires from Police

AIGP Grace Akullo is out of Uganda Police

AIGP Grace Akullo has retired from Uganda Police after 12 years and 5 months of service.

Akullo headed the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for 11 years and was this year transferred to INTERPOL directorate where she retired.

Below is her statement

This is to formally inform you that I handed over the office of the Director INTERPOL and International Relations on the 26th July 2022. The hand over also marked the end of my service time as a police officer of the Uganda police Force after serving for 21years, 19 of which was in criminal Investigations and 11 as Director Criminal investigations, 5months as the Director INTERPOL and International Relations and 6months in General duties(2002).

Some of the members here are almost part of my 21yrs journey while I met most of you when I was the Director CID.

I signed out of the UPF contented with the role I  played as part of the team in the past 21yrs.

I thank God Almighty for having giving me chance to serve as a police officer of the UPF and also saving my life when contracted covid 19 in July 2021 which almost took my life. I am glad I am alive today to send these words of Appreciation.

I thank God Almighty for having allowed us meet and it was for his purpose. I further thank you for the prayers, best wishes and for the support. We shall still cross our professional path in one way or the other.
