National Unity Platform (NUP) prominent official Ali Bukeni alias Nubian Li is under fire for exuding ignorance before the foreign donors in his attempt to smear President Yoweri Museveni as top perpetrator of human rights in Uganda.
Nubian Li, a strong ally and musical partner of Robert Kyagulanyi, the NUP president was captured in a video that is making rounds on social media presenting incorrect account of what happened in the NRA/M liberation war that brought peace to Uganda.
Nubian had earlier this year moved with his boss Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine to Switzerland to address the Geneva summit on human rights.
In the video, the sensational singer tells the world that before he could delve into the human rights matters in Uganda, he asked to first a brief recap of torture in Uganda.
“I am so honoured to be on this panel. Before I answer that question, I want to first give a little bit of history of torture in Uganda especially around dictator Museveni,” Nubian Li is recorded saying in the video.
He went to add: “He came into power by means of a gun that is in 1986 and about 50 million people were killed.”
His revelation has ignited debate on various social media platforms on how uninformed NUP members be especially when representing the party outside Uganda.
Uganda’s population is currently estimated at 42 to 45 million people, whereas records further indicate that in 1986 Uganda had approximately 15 million citizens.
Whatever and wherever Nubian Li extracted his data remains unknown.
