President Yoweri Museveni has Wednesday held talks with his Democratic Party counterpart Nobert Mao at Entebbe State House.
The two principals have signed what has been termed as a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which will see both of their parties (DP and NRM) work closely together. The MOU has been branded as “Cooperation Agreement.”
Museveni and Mao were flanked by their party Secretary Generals; Richard Todwong and Gerald Siranda respectively.
The meeting was also attended by Museveni’s lawyer and also his son in-law Edwin Karugire.
Mao, a prominent opposition leader has for long been accused by his colleagues in other opposition parties of working clandestinely with the regime.
