Joy as Nile Breweries announces “No price Increase” on Beer

Nile Breweries Limited (NBL) has Thursday publicly announced that it doesn’t intend to increase alcohol prices.
The brewery made the revelation through Onapito Ekolomoit, the Legal and Corporate affairs Director.
“The good news is we are not joining the bandwagon,” he said.
A fortnight ago, NBL’s competitors Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) told its clients across Uganda that prices of its products had been increased due to an economic crisis in the country.
Uganda is battling a sporadic increase of commodity prices due to skyrocketing rates of fuel.
President Yoweri Museveni is slated to address the nation over the matter on Sunday.
Government earlier said it wouldn’t intervene because it’s a global matter which it has no control over.
NBL maintained that during the difficult times prices have not and won’t be increased.
